Getting to Know Me
Hey friends! I’ve had so much fun over the past month creating content for this blog and sharing it with you all. As I was pondering what to write about this week, I thought maybe it was time for you to get to know a little bit about me. So, here goes!
Let’s start with the simple stuff. Of course, my name is Samantha, but I’m pretty sure the only person who has ever called me that is my dad. Everyone else knows me as Sam. I was born in raised in Kansas and spent most of my time between Solomon, a very small town, and Salina, the larger city to the west.
Family Time
Family is extremely important to me. I am the oldest of 3 girls and have always been the typical, bossy older sister. I was a natural leader and always the director of our “shows”. The three of us always had the best adventures, especially on our grandparent’s farm.
When I turned 27, I met my future husband on match.com after a large push from my mother to put myself out there. Thanks, mom. We dated for a few years, got married, and immediately became pregnant with our daughter, Penny. Eighteen months later, Everett completed our little family.
Work Flow
I am so fortunate to work for Heritage Builders as the marketing manager. My days consist of taking photos on job sites, updating social media and the website, and chatting with clients about their projects. What’s not to love? I also get to work with my husband, sister, and a slew of so many other talented and wonderful people.
Just for Fun
Away from work and family, dance is my thing. I’ve been a dancer for over 30 years and have been a choreographer for over 15 years. Yearly, I head back to my alma mater (Go Cougars!) and choreograph their annual musical. For a number of years, I was also involved in the Salina Community Theatre both on and off stage. I continue to be a champion of the arts and sit on my local art center’s board of directors.

Thank you for being here. Whitney and I are having so much fun sharing what we love with you all. If you haven’t told your friends about us yet, now would be the time. We have some really amazing projects coming up! Make sure you are following us on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
